Unplug and Play Family Literacy Week will look a little different this year but we still want families to have fun while reducing screen time! Instead of group activities and events we have a free take-home bag that contains crafts, games, a book and other goodies.
January 25th-30th Residents of the North and South Shuswap can join the NSSCR for the “Get Cooking” food bag and recipe challenge at http://www.nsscr.ca/. Pre-register by January 22 and bags containing supplies can be picked up Monday, January 25th between 12-4.
Registration is now closed, please visit your community library to pick-up your Unplug and Play bag. Thank you for participating in a week of reduced screen-time.
Unfortunately organized StoryWalks, scavenger hunts and other events outside of the home have been cancelled due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
We are encouraging everyone to explore new trails and outdoor recreation opportunities during this unusual time, (visit Shuswap Trail Alliance for some inspiration).
