Our Little Free Library Book Exchanges have had an eventful few months filled with challenges and successes. Unfortunately, the Little Free Library located in downtown Salmon Arm has been damaged twice since May. We have been grateful to volunteer Kristjan Marteinsson for repairing the book exchange and ensuring we can continue to provide a way for readers to share books!
We were also excited to partner with Alisha Marie Roy from Canoe to introduce a new Little Free Book Exchange to the community! LASS staff member, Kell Stephenson, built and installed the structure located outside the Canoe post office. Alisha funded this library through a #SimpleGenerosity grant from Valley First A Division of First West Credit Union.
