The first session of the Cyber Seniors Computer Tutoring program came to a successful finish at the end of November. The 16 learners were awarded with a certificate of completion at the celebration luncheon held at the Senior’s Drop-in Centre downtown.

The Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap Society would like to thank the 13 volunteers who took time each week to help these seniors learn new skills and become more confident in their abilities to use a computer.

LASS is currently recruiting volunteers for the next eight-week computer tutoring session starting in January. Sessions are one hour per week at the Senior’s Drop-in Centre. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Jennifer Findlay at 250-833-2095 or

Jackie and Marni are proud of their certificates!
