LASS was delighted to host Sumer Slide Reading Camps in Sicamous, Salmon Arm, Enderby and Armstrong this past July. The goal of this program is to reduce learning loss over the school holidays by providing a fun environment that helps student’s maintain their literacy skills. Each location has a certified teacher, CEA and community volunteer who offer targeted reading support and fun community field trips. We are grateful for partnerships with Enderby & District Financial, the Shuswap Community Foundation-Lisa Rollands Literacy Fund, RBC and School District No. 83-North Okanagan-Shuswap for collaborating and funding this valuable program throughout our region!
