The Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap Society is once again hosting our spelling bee fundraiser, it’s our first year back since 2019 and we are excited to welcome returning teams, and to meet new participants this year.
This is a “fun”draiser that is all about teamwork and community-building. No one spells alone!
Please fill out this form with your team’s information. We have room for 15 teams at this year’s event, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to confirm your spot. The deadline for registration is Monday, April 3rd, 2023.
Sponsorship levels range from Queen Bee ($1200 a table or $150 a seat) to Bumblebee ($1,000 a table or $125 a seat).
Teams are made up of eight spellers but if you don’t have enough people, organizers may be able to round up some extras.
The spelling bee supports many community literacy programs run by LASS, including Unplug and Play Family Literacy Week, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, ONE TO ONE reading, Valid After-School reading program, Summer Slide reading camp and Cyber Seniors technology tutoring.
