Join us May 1, 2024 from 7:00 am at the First Community (450 Okanagan Avenue SE) for our annual Spelling Bee fundraiser!
The fundraiser is all about team work, supporting valuable community literacy programs and friendly competition. We like to keep it fun with costumes encouraged and a delicious breakfast included.
Teams consist of eight people and no one spells alone or aloud, sponsorship levels range from Queen Bee ($1200 a table or $150 a seat) to Bumblebee ($1,000 a table or $125 a seat) and if you don’t have enough people, organizers may be able to round up some extras.
We look forward to seeing everyone registered by April 1, 2024 and are excited to host this popular event that raises funds for literacy programs run by LASS, including Unplug and Play Family Literacy Week, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, ONE TO ONE reading, Valid After-School reading program, Summer Slide reading camp and Cyber Seniors technology tutoring.
