Informational brochures have been distributed to community organizations and service providers outlining the literacy support available to adult learners in our community through Okanagan College and WorkBC. The Literacy Outreach Coordinator meets one-on-one with adults in our community to help bridge the gap between informal and formal learning.
All programs listed are free and available to eligible adults 19+. Some of the programs include:
- BC Dogwood Diploma (high school graduation)
- Career preparation courses
- Literacy skills, from basic to more advanced
- Numeracy skills
- Computer skills
- English as a Second Language (ESLSAP)
- Employment Program of BC
- Case managed courses
