LASS Welcomes New Staff

LASS is pleased to welcome our new Literacy Outreach Coordinator, Lola Storry.

Lola has recently moved to Salmon Arm with her family and is thrilled to be part of our vibrant community. After completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Victoria and working for a number of years in client service, program management and leadership roles at several not-for-profit organizations, she is happy to have joined the team at LASS.

Lola brings her ideas, energy and passion to the role of LOC and with the support of our dedicated staff and volunteers will work to build on existing and new community literacy initiatives.

LASS is also happy to welcome back Terra Stephenson (formerly Redwood) as the new Children’s Programming Coordinator. Terra will be heading up the ONE TO ONE Children’s Literacy Program, the Valid After School Literacy Program and the Summer Slide Program specifically, as well as being on the lookout for other literacy programs to help support school aged children in our region. Terra grew up in Salmon Arm, and has always been passionate about education. She has a degree in Elementary Education from UBC, and worked with LASS for the first time in 2012 as a teacher in the Coyote Café program.
